In January 2008, Taylor Grant, a 27-year-old First Rate Mortgage employee, started brainstorming ideas for creating a networking group that knew how to have fun. Other events had left him unsatisfied because the atmosphere was strictly business. Grant wanted to attend a networking event where members could interact freely.To read more....please CLICK HERE!
During the next few months, Grant began targeting young professionals in their 20s and 30s who are in their first five years of business, to join the Eastside Young Professionals (ESYPS). The more than 100 members of this social networking group come from all walks of life. They are project engineers, accountants, personal trainers, dentists and surgeons, as well as business owners, managers and entrepreneurs.
Wedding Consultant Naomi Balatbat, who owns Soiree Events, likes that ESYPS is for fresh-faced professionals. “Other networking events I’ve attended in the past were more like talking to my parents and getting lectured,” she said.
